Where to buy and play board games in Dublin? Fortunately for those sharing this hobby, there is a growing number of answers to that question.
If you’re looking for pubs with board games or just a local shop where to find something other than Clue, Scrabble or Monopoly (a.k.a. the friendship destroyer of my childhood), check out the map below.
If you’re into board games and you’re looking to meet people to play with, I’d also recommend checking out Board Games Ireland meetup (full disclaimer, I’m a member of the group). The group meets twice a week (Tuesday evenings and Sunday afternoons) in Alfie Byrnes and organises the BGIcon as well as other once-off events for board game lovers.
By the way, the “time house”, marked in the map as “others”, is a place in Dublin City Centre called The Clockwork Door. It’s well worth a visit if you want a spot to play a game, study, grab coffee or just chill.
Feel free to copy the map and make it your own, or if you’re feeling generous, help me to expand it by letting me know other places worthy of a nod.
